About Us

The senior management of our company has years of experience planning events in numerous markets around the world. Although every program they’ve worked on had its own unique purpose and characteristics, they all had one thing in common. They took place in a community where there was a growing number of people in need. This will continue to rise as the world’s population increases and the effects of hunger, poverty, disease, wars, natural disasters, and climate change impact future generations and the fate of our planet. And, as if these issues weren’t enough, the increase in violence and hatred in this country and around the world is getting worse and worse!

This reality, along with the following story, is what sparked the idea for the business we’ve created.

What Sparked This Idea?

We founded PlanKind as a way to harness the power of kindness using our event planning experience. It all began with an event we worked on at the 5-star Plaza Hotel in NYC. It was just as you’d imagine. An extravagant banquet in an elegant ballroom decorated with glitz and glamour.

Soon after we left the event, we spotted a homeless man lying on the sidewalk out in the cold literally right around the corner from the hotel. While hundreds of guests were dining on an expensive meal, there was a person shivering outside, begging for money so he could feed himself and his beloved dog!

We knew we couldn’t walk away and ignore what we just witnessed. So, we decided to put our skills, network, and expertise to work…not only to help people (and animals) in need, but to also help address the alarming issues our planet is facing.

Being Kind Is Simple!

At PlanKind, we believe being kind to people is really very easy! Whether it’s helping a disabled person cross the street, giving up your seat to a pregnant woman on the crowded subway, or offering a bottle of water to a homeless person sweltering in this extreme heat. Acts of Kindness like these require very little effort, but they can have a huge and lasting impression on those who receive them.

We all know what it feels like when a few kind words can turn a bad day into a good one. Someone compliments your hair or the outfit you’re wearing and you can’t help but smile. A friend thanks you for your help and your heart fills with joy. If just a few words can improve your mood, imagine the impact an Act of Kindness can have on someone in need!
